A WORD FROM THE PROVINCIAL (Ghana)

Dear Confreres,
Greetings from hot Accra. We are just back from the Chrism Mass after sweating liters there. I presume all had Chrism Masses in your respective dioceses. Wishing you all a good triduum and a very Happy Easter.
At the beginning of this month I was in Tamale to attend the meeting of the Tamale Ecclesiastical Province bishops on St. Victor’s Seminary. We had good interaction with all the staff from the SVD and the diocesan staff. I also had the opportunity to meet our Fraters in the CFC and our students in the philosophy house. The main concern of St. Victors Seminary has been the shortage of staff, especially in the philosophy section. We are really looking for some new teachers for St. Victor’s. Any suggestions? Any volunteers?
I would like to remind you again about our province visitation. Local Superiors please contact your visitator and fix the dates and other schedules. All the confreres should see that they are available for this important event in the life of the province.
May I request you all to keep good accounts, records, and receipts of transactions? The auditors are around and still auditing the accounts. Very soon the new budgets for the year will be arriving. Let us live according to what we have budgeted and according to what we have received.
Yours in the Divine Word,

Thomas D’Mello, SVD
Provincial
