Awareness - Thức Tỉnh 2

"How can awareness be recognized?" Asked a fellow.
Một đệ tử hỏi "Thức tỉnh là sao, thưa thầy?"
"Having known something sinful, he will not do it." Answered the teacher and added the following story.
"Người ta không làm điều họ biết là xấu", thầy trả lời và kể:

 "Being afraid of the police, a smuggler came to a very holly monk asking him to hide some goods. He thought that with the holly monk's goodwill, no one doubts and enters the monastery to look for illegal goods. The monk straightly cut his words and asked him to leave immediately.
"I will give you 1000 dollars for charity."
One indecisive moment and the monk denied decisively.
"2000 dollars, Sir!"
The monk still shook his head.
"5000"
The monk took a piece of wood and shouted "Get going quickly! You've already come too close to my price!"
"Sợ bị bắt, tay buôn lậu chuồn vào tu viện tìm gặp vị tu sĩ nỗi tiếng thánh thiện xin giấu một số hàng hoá. Anh ta nghĩ rằng với danh thơm tiếng tốt của vị tu sĩ này, không ai nghi ngờ và vào tu viện này để tìm hàng cấm. Vị tu sĩ thẳng thắn từ chối và đuổi anh đi ngay lập tức.
"Tôi sẽ gửi ngài 1000 đô để làm từ thiện"
Một thoáng đắn đo, vị tu sĩ từ chối hẳn.
"2000 đô la, thưa ngài"
Vị tu sĩ vẫn lắc đầu.
"5000"
Ông nhặt thanh củi lên và quát "Biến ngay, anh đã tiến quá gần đến cái giá của tôi!"
